Set sail from Alimos Marina near Athens and explore the Saronic Islands on a fully crewed sailing yacht. This is a hands-on holiday where everyone participates, from helming and sail handling to cooking and daily life onboard. It’s ideal for those wanting to learn, refresh skills, or gain confidence in a relaxed environment without the pressure of formal assessments, while still enjoying time ashore and swimming in sheltered bays.

The itinerary is flexible and adjusted based on weather, berthing, and anchoring availability, and the actual boat may differ from listing photos. The skipper is a qualified and commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Instructor who provides guidance and tuition throughout. This is not a passive holiday: the group will be actively involved in planning and executing the sailing week, working together to make the voyage enjoyable, practical, and rewarding.

Itinerary (subject to berthing and anchoring availability):

Day 1 – Arrival in Athens / Alimos Marina: Arrive mid-afternoon or early evening, transfer to Alimos Marina, meet the skipper, settle in, and attend a welcome dinner with an overview of the trip.

Day 2 – Aegina: Short sail to Aegina, explore the town, anchor in a sheltered bay, and enjoy swimming or snorkelling. Take the helm and practise sailing skills.

Day 3 – Poros: Cruise to Poros, wandering the waterfront, exploring beaches, and continuing hands-on sailing. Optional walks ashore.

Day 4 – Hydra: Sail to Hydra, famous for its car-free streets, charming harbour, and historic architecture. Practice navigation and anchoring while exploring the town.

Day 5 – Spetses: Head to Spetses, enjoying the scenic harbour, beaches, and local villages. Time for swimming, sailing practice, or walks ashore.

Day 6 – Return toward Athens / Optional stop at Kea: Begin the return leg, with an optional stop at Kea for a sheltered bay and final chance to practise sailing and enjoy the water.

Day 7 – Alimos Marina / Athens: Sail back to Alimos Marina and disembark by mid-day.

Flights: Guests should fly in and out of Athens International Airport (ATH). From there, transfer approximately 20–30 minutes to Alimos Marina (Kalamaki), the main hub for Saronic Islands charter yachts. Most international flights connect directly to Athens.

Booking Information & Notes:

Select the dates and cabin option that best suit your plans. An additional €250 cash per person is required for the onboard kitty, which covers fuel, docking and boat provisions. Any remaining balance can be shared among the crew or offered to the skipper as a tip.

Pillows, sheets, blankets and snorkelling gear are provided. Please note that the actual boat may differ from the photos shown.

Please do not book flights until your trip is within 14 days of departure, as we are unable to compensate for flight costs.

As each trip is a one off experience, we are unable to offer rescheduling. Boats are chartered based on confirmed bookings, so cancellations by guests cannot be accepted and payments are non refundable. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a trip, a full refund of all payments will be provided.
